Texans | Shanahan says Foster fits offense

John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans offense coordinator Kyle Shanahan said RB Arian Foster fits the team’s offense philosophy because of his size and ability to pick up tough yards. (Foster) is what you want in this system. HeÂ’s very similar to [RB Chris Brown]. He doesnÂ’t mess around. We can have a play blocked for no yards, and all we want them to do is make us not lose yards. Instead of second-and-10, we want them to make it second-and-8. ThatÂ’s the type of runner Foster is, Shanahan said.
