Report: Raiders’ Johnathan Abram facing season-ending shoulder surgery – Yardbarker

Oakland Raiders rookie Johnathan Abram is facing the possibility of undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery, according to reports. Abram suffered a torn rotator cuff and labrum in his shoulder during the first quarter of his team’s win over the Denver Broncos on Monday night, Adam Lefkoe reported. The Raiders reportedly plan to get a second opinion on Abram’s shoulder before deciding how to proceed. ESPN’s Josina Anderson says they would consider placing him on injured reserve, which would allow him the possibility of returning this season. Abram was one of three players drafted in the first round this year by the Raiders. The 22-year-old was credited with five tackles and a pass defensed in his debut.
