Buccaneers star rookie Devin White leaves game with knee injury – Yardbarker

This is not what anyone wanted to see early on during Thursday night’s game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers. With a wet field that included a weather delay, conditions were not great inside Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Unfortunately, the early portion of this game also included Buccaneers rookie No. 5 overall pick, linebacker Devin White, leaving early in the first quarter with a knee injury. Tampa Bay almost immediately ruled him out for the remainder of the game. That’s usually not a great sign. White is being relied on to play a huge role as a rookie. The LSU product is seen as one of the better inside linebacker prospects to enter the league in some time. In fact, he’s the highest-drafted player at this position since Aaron Curry back in 2009. White recorded six tackles in his NFL regular-season debut last week. We’ll have further updates as they become available.
